  My family and I have had adverse dealings with Canterbury Council recently, for matters concerning a residential building project close to us. Due to the fact that a project was certified by a private certifier, council maintained "nothing to do with us". Absolutely absurd ! Issues we had and have, were privacy, cutting concrete without watering it down, noise, pollution, unsafe worksite / work practices and many others. When council were notified that we had video footage of certain concerning practices and the like, Council stated "We would have to catch them in the act". Not worth "one star" and this site compels you to put at least one star........Absolutely disgusting ! I was even given a lecture as to how much money certifiers have to pay to have their accreditation in place. I suppose our concerns were not as important..... The inference here alarms me. There are still pallets stacked up on the footpath from that site, many months down the track as well, which we have to negotiate on a daily basis ! Thanks Canterbury Council for absolutely nothing !

  Horrible council. Does not respond to issues concerning the community and its residents. Makes bad decisions that wastes funds on making the area worse instead of actioning things that the community actually needs.

  Ever since councils have merged its impossible to get a call through to them thats Canterbury area it sucks I've tried several times

  If you enjoy Jazz music, Call this Council you can listen to it for 10 minutes plus when you are left on hold trying to get connected to front desk. 10 minutes plus gave up as the repetitive voice over the sax was too much. dont call at lunch, they all go out together it seems/

  Some one car block on the way out.What should I do about that? Canterbury council and police can’t do anything. Maybe make scratch by myself.
