    If I lived in Sydney I would always be here! Oh look, it has everything - embraces many cultures, many children in the church. 32 years ago I was a young and naive girl from Brisbane and wound up on the streets in Sydney and Jesus led me to Samaritan House, a haven for homeless women. The lady Major who ran it at the time didn't just offer me a roof over my head and a safe place, she showed me peace and happiness through Jesus! I returned to Brisbane but never forgot her and last year I travelled to visit her at this, her home corps, such a wonderful event. A little story for you to enjoy as we enter the Christmas season!

    This is a very good place for Christian Worship. Yes the Salvation Army is a Christian Church and is also known for its charitable work. But it is a Christian Church which follow the teachings of Jesus who taught that we should care for those in need. It meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30am. The Congregation is very friendly and you will receive a warm and friendly welcome should you choose to visit this Church.
